Errata for Documents, Volume 15

This sheet identifies errors found in Documents, Volume 15: 16 May–28 June 1844. Minor errors, such as in the format of source citations, are not reported. The errors reported here occur in all printings of the volume and have been corrected in the transcripts, annotation, and reference material presented on this site. This sheet will be updated as additional errors are found. Please report additional errors by emailing josephsmithpapers@churchofjesuschrist.org.
Page 439, note 54, lines 4–7. Change “During the 1838–1839 conflict between the Saints and their antagonists in Missouri, Atchison again served as a lawyer for JS and other Saints and then later as a key prosecutorial witness during the preliminary hearing for JS and other Saints in 1838.” to “During the 1838–1839 conflict between the Saints and their antagonists in Missouri, Atchison again served as a lawyer for JS and other Saints.”
Page 510. The photograph of the revolver is of the gun that belonged to Miner Deming. The photograph of JS’s gun can be viewed on the Joseph Smith Papers website: Guns in Possession of Joseph and Hyrum Smith at Carthage Jail, 27 June 1844. JS’s revolver is the one at the bottom of the photograph.
