and State aforesaid of the second part. Witnesseth That the Said party of the first part, for, and in Consideration of the sum of one hundred and ten dollars, to him, to be paid by the said party of the second part, on or before the first day of October A. D. 1840— Covenants with and agrees, and hereby obligates himself to put up or build for the said party of the second part the body or frame of a log house and put the roof thereon and build a good stone chimney to the same. The dimensions of said house to be eighteen feet long by sixteen feet wide and to be twelve rounds of logs high. the logs to be hewn on both sides. The sleepers and Joists to be framed in— The interstices or openings between the Logs to be chincked and then to be plastered with lime and Sand <​on both sides​>— The Chimney to be carried up on the outside. the Jambs and the arch about the fire place to be dressed Smooth and square.— The House to be covered with good short shingles, and the gable ends above the logs to be enclosed with clap boards, which are to be shaved, To cut out of the logs openings for one door and Two Windows the size of which to be hereafter agreed upon. to cut off the Ends of the Logs and make it <​them​> square— The whole to be finished in a neat, good, and substantial manner on or before the first day of april next ensuing—
The said party of the first part to furnish the Logs, Joists, Rafters, Sleepers, Stone, Lime Sand and Shingles & Clap boards. The House to be built on Lot No in Block No in the Town of
