An ordinance to amend an ordinance entitled on ordinance regulating the Fees and Compensation of the several officers and & persons therein mentioned passed Jan 14th. 1843.
Sec 1st. Be it ordained by the City Council of the city of That the Mayor shall be allowed a salary per annum of one hundred dollars <per annum> and that the alderman and counselors shall receive each one dollar per day— <while in session—> also fine for absnce <attendance in p◊◊◊tion>— one dollar per day.
Sec 2nd. That the part <clauses> of sec 1st of the the aforesaid ordinance regulating the amount of the Mayor’s salary <and fees <& fines> of the alderman and councellors> is hereby repealed.
Sec 2. This ordinance to be in force from & after its passge any all other ordinance to the contra[r]y notwithstanding
