Sec. 1. Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of , that if any person shall fire or shoot a gun, pistol, or other fire arm, <​idle or for sport or amusement,​> in the night or on the Sabbath Sunday, the person so firing or shooting shall forfeit and pay a fine not exceeding fifty dollars, no less than five dollars: provided that nothing herein contained shall <​be​> construed to affect any officer of this for firing and shooting as aforesaid in the execution of his duty.

Sec. 2. That if any person shall prosecute another before the authorities of this , and fail to procure a conviction, such person shall be taxed with the costs of suit.

Sec. 3. That if any person shall neglect to attend at the hour set for trial before the Mayor, any Alderman, or the Municipal Court <​without a reasonable excuse,​> after being duly notified, such person shall be fined one dollar for every hour’s delay.
