sec. 1. Be it ordained by the city council of the city of , that all dogs or other animals known to have been bitten or worried by any rabid animal, shall be immediately killed or confined by the owner, under a penalty not exceeding one thousand dollars, at the discretion of the court
Sec. 2. No dog shall be permitted to run at large in this for five months after the passage of this ordinance under a penalty of twenty five dollars, to be paid by the owner or owners of said dogs or dogs, and all dogs during said five months shall be liable to be killed if found twenty rods from their masters, and such penalty or penalties shall be recoverable and applied in like manner as other penalties within this .
Sec. 3. This ordinance to take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
