Know all Men by These Presents, That I of in the County of Lake and State of Ohioare held and firmly bound unto Christopher Edmonds of Ellisburgh in the County of Jefferson and State of New york in the sum of Three Thousand Nine hundred and Eighty Dollars, to be paid to the said Edmonds or to his certain attorney, executors, administrators, or assigns. For which payment, well and truly to be made, I bind my Self and my heirs, executors, and administrators, jointly and severally, firmly by these Presents. Sealed with my seal and dated the Sixteenth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirtyforty one
The Condition of this Obligation is such, That if the above bounden Obligor, his heirs, executors, or administrators, shall and do well and truly pay, or cause to be paid, unto the above named Obligee, his certain attorney, executors, administrators, or assigns, the sum of Five hundred Dollars payable in the Month of July Next either in Money or Land in Such things as the Said Edmonds Shall want to live upon For Sundry and family; the above payments to be made as the said Edmonds Shall Choose— Also the Sum of Fourteen hundred and Ninety Dollars to be paid in Land in Township Number Sixty Six in the County of and in the Territory of Io[w]a and Shall deliver to the Said Edmonds or his heirs a good and Sufficient Deed of Warranty of the Same in the Month of July Next without fraud or delay, then the preceding Obligation to be void; otherwise to remain in full force and virtue.
