The requested to lay this matter over till the next council on account of the multitude of business already before the house, complied.
The subject of the coming up:—
Coun. stated that he had taken steps to call a meeting of the Stock Holders on the 5th. of April. He will now suggest the propriety and necessity of ascertaining the amount of means belonging to the Association whether available or unavailable, and also to publish a notice calling upon the stock-holders to give account of the date and numbers of the certificate which the[y] hold and of whom they purchased them. A number of Stock certificates say 10 or 15 thousand dollars was lost by or stolen from him and it is necessary to [p. [211]]
