was a prophet, they did not want any presents, but only wanted him to say the word, and furnish some powder, and they would go it on the start. We have gained their confidence and they are now looking to us, and if messengers go from here and give them the time of day they would go at once. When they came here, they were satisfied that Joseph was a prophet, and felt sorry that so good a man as he was, should be driven, as he had been.
