said he should propose to all our merchants to let us have all their money and goods, and we will leave our property here, and let them sell it together with our land and take their pay out of the sales, and if they are in debt, they can sell till their debts are paid.
He then made some remarks concerning theives in our midst, and said let all such be exposed to the mob, and let them be dealt with if they will not quit stealing.
