And also for that the said defendants <heretofore to wit> on the fifteenth of June in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred & forty three with force & arms &c, again the said plaintiff to wit at & within the said County of & then & there beat bruised & ill treated him & threatened his life, & then and there imprisoned him & kept & detained him in prison & confinement & duress there without any authority of law & without any reasonable or probable cause whatsoever for a long time to wit for the space of eight days then next following, contrary to the laws & customs of this & of the and against the will of the said plaintiff—
And also for that the said defendants on the day & year aforesaid with force & arms &c. made another on the said plaintiff to wit at & within the aforesaid & then & there again beat bruised wounded & ill treated him & threatened his life, insomuch that his life was then and there thereby was greatly endangered & despaired of
And other wrongs to the said plaintiff then & there did to the great damage of the said plaintiff and against the peace & dignity of the said state of . Wherefore the said plaintiff saith that he is injured & hath sustained damage to the amount of ten thousand dollars and therefore he brings his suit &c—
