after having advertised the same for sale in the manner and for the time required by Law And whereas at the time and place aforesaid became the purchaser of the South East quarter of section Twenty five in Township Seven 7 North Range Eight (8) West in the County of and State of for the sum of four hundred Dollars he being the highest and best bidder for the same, Also Lot one (1) in Block six (6) in the town of Macedonia County and State aforesaid for fifty Dollars that being the highest and best bid made for the same, And whereas said having complied with the terms of said sale. Now this Indenture finally Witnesseth that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred and fifty Dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold, and by these presents do bargain & sell unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever all the above mentioned and described lands, To have and to Hold the aforesaid lands together with all and singular the privileges & appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining to the said his heirs and assigns forever

I H E Spencer Mayor of the said City of do certify that on the fifth day of August 1847 personally appeared before me whose signature appears to the foregoing deed of conveyance as the maker thereof, and who is personally Known to me to be the same persons whose name is subscribed thereto as having Executed the same and acknowledged the Execution thereof to be his act and deed for the uses and purposes therein mentioned
