This Indenture made, and Entered into, this twenty fourth day of March in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and forty one between and Athalia [Rigdon Robinson] his wife of the County of and state of , <of the one part> and Joseph Smith of the County of and aforesaid, of the other part Witnesseth, that the said and Athalia his wife, for and in consideration of the sum of one Dollar dollar to them in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do hereby grant, bargain, Sell, convey, and confirm unto the said Joseph Smith his heirs and assigns forever, all that tract or parcel of land, situate and being in the County of in the State of , viz: The northwest fractional quarter of section no Ten (10) in Township No Seven (7) North, and Range no. (8) Eight west.— Also the Southwest fractional quarter of section No Nineteen (19) in Township No Six (6) north and Range no— Eight (8) west more or less, Together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging, or in anywise appertaining.
To Have and To Hold the above described premises unto the said Joseph Smith his heirs and assigns forever. And the said and Athalia his wife their heirs and assigns, the aforesaid premises, unto the said Joseph Smith his heirs and assigns against the claim or claims of all and every person whomsoever— Except the right of dower of Elizabeth Galland, do and will warrant and for ever defend by these Presents. In Testimony whereof, the said and Athalia his wife of the first part, have hereunto set their hands and seals, the day and year above written

I, a justice of the Peace, of said , do certify, that, and Athalia his wife, whose signatures appe[a]r to the foregoing deed, and who are personally known to me to be the persons described in, and who executed the same, did severally acknowledge that they had executed the said conveyance, for the uses and purposes therein mentioned.
And the said Athalia Robinson having been by me made acquainted with the contents of the said Deed, and examined Seperate and apart from her said , acknowledged that she had executed the same, and relinquished her dower to the premises therein conveyed voluntarily, freely, and without compulsion of her said , Given under my hand and seal, this Twenty fith day of March in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and forty one
