To All People To Whom these Presents Shall Come Greeting Know Ye That I and Dolly [Eaton Wightman] my wife of the Town of County of and State of for and in consideration of the sum of Four hundred Dollars received to our full Satisfaction of Joseph Smith of the city of do give grant bargain sell & confirm unto the Said Joseph Smith his heirs & assigns forever The first Lot in Block No Six in the Town of which is also in & State of be the same more or less. To have and to hold the above bargained premises with the appurtenances thereunto belonging unto the said Joseph Smith his heirs and assigns forever to their own proper use and Behoof & also I the said do for myself my heirs executors and administrators covenant with the said Smith & his heirs and assigns that at & until the ensealing these presents I was well seized of these premises and as a good indefeasible estate in fee simple have good right to bargain & sell the same in Manner as above written & that the Same is free from all encumbrance whatsoever And furthermore I the said do by these presents bind myself and my heirs forever to warrant & Defend the above bargained premises to him the said Joseph Smith his heirs & assigns against all lawful claims whatsoever. And I the Said Dolly Wightman do hereby remise release & forever quit claim unto him the said Smith & his heirs & assigns all my right & title of dower to the above described premises

Signed sealed acknowledged and delivered in presence of
The State of SS. Personally appeared to me personally known as the Signer & sealer of the above instrument and acknowledged that he did voluntarily Sign & seal the same & that the Same is his free Act & Deed And I having fully made known to the Said Dolly Wightman the contents of the above Deed and having examined her separately from her She declared that she did voluntarily sign seal and acknowledge and as her own free act & deed deliver the same without the force coercion or compulsion of her and that she is still Satisfied therewith
