This Indenture made and entered into this fifteenth day of February in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred and forty two between Joseph Smith and his wife of the County of and state of of the one part and of the County of and aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said Joseph Smith and his wife for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred Dollars to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged do hereby grant bargain sell convey and confirm unto the said her heirs and assigns forever all that tract of parcel of land situate and being in the County of in the state of Viz Known and discribed as three quarters of lot No four on the east side running north and south in block One hundred and forty one as laid down on the plat of the city of Together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining To Have and to Hold the above discribed premises unto the said her heirs and assigns forever And the said Joseph Smith and his wife their heirs and assigns the aforesaid premises unto the said her heirs and assigns against the Claim or claims of all and every person whomsoever do and will warrant and forever defend by these presents In testimony whereof the said Joseph Smith and his wife of the first part have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year above written
