This Indenture made and Entered into this Fifteenth day of October in the year of our Lord. one thousand eight hundred and Forty two between Joseph Smith as sole Trustee in Trust for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, of the County of , and state of of the First part and Job V Barnum of the county of and aforesaid of the Second part. Witnesseth, that the said Joseph Smith, party of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of one thousand dollars, to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do hereby grant bargain sell convey, and Confirm unto the said Job V Barnum party of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever, all that tract or parcel of land, situate and being in the county of and state of known and described as follows, To wit: the North West quarter of section thirty six (36) in Township number seven (7) North of Range number Eight (8) west of the fourth principal meridian, containing one hundred and sixty acres of land be the same more or less, together with all and singular the appurtanances thereunto belonging, or in any wise appertaining To have and To hold the above described premises unto the Said Job V. Barnum party of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever, And the said Joseph Smith, party of the First part, his assigns, and successors in office, the aforesaid premises, unto the said Job V Barnum party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, against the claim or claims of all and every person whomsoever, do and will warrant and forever defend by these presents.
