THIS INDENTURE MADE AND ENTERED INTO, This nineteenth day of April— in the year of onr Lord, one thousand eight hundred and forty-four between Joseph Smith, as sole Trustee in Trust, for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, of the county of , and State of of the FIRST part, and William Mosley — of the county of and aforesaid, of the SECOND part, Witnesseth, that the said Joseph Smith, party of the FIRST part, for and in consideration [of the sum of [4 words illegible] dollars, to him in hand paid, the] receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do hereby grant, bargain, sell, convey, and confirm unto the said William Mosley— party of the SECOND part, his heirs and assigns forever, all that tract or parcel of land, situate and being in the county of in the State of known and described as follows, to wit: Lot number Eleven in the South East quarter of Section No Twenty five, Township No Seven North of Range No Eight West of the 4th. principal Meridian as will be seen by refference to the survey of said quarter Section made by Apl 29 & May 6th. 1843, commencing twenty chains West of the North East corner of said quarter section, and running thence South Sixteen chains and forty nine links, thence West twelve chains and thirteen & a quarter links, thence North sixteen chains and forty nine links thence East [illegible] chains and thirteen and a half links [3 words illegible] and containing twenty acres of land be the same more or less. together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging, or in any wise appertaining.
TO HAVE and TO HOLD The above described premises unto the said William Mosley— party of the SECOND part, his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Joseph Smith, party of the FIRST part, his assigns and successors in office, the afforesaid premises, unto the said William Mosley— party of the SECOND part, his heirs and assigns, against the claim or claims of all and every person whomsoever, do and will warrant and forever defend by these presents.
