Some contemporary journal accounts mention that JS spoke on 25 September 1842 about persecution and took 1 Kings 19 for his text, but none of those accounts capture his words. This ca. 1860s account from David Moore, presumably copied from an earlier nonextant account, attempts to capture what JS said.
