Messrs:—In reply to your communication to [t]he City Council of the city of , on behalf of his Excellency , I have been [i]nstructed by the council to communicate the [f]oregoing resolutions which I respectfully so[l]icit for your consideration, and at the same [t]ime would inform you that a public meeting of our citizens will take place at the eas[t] of the , at 4 P.
