Regular Session

City Council assembled as usual at their Regular Session, and upon hearing of the Report of the in regard to the Election and that a majority of the Councillors had received their Oath of Office, whereupon the Council decided that the Election was legal, and that the new members were qualified to act in the new Council and gave room to the Councillors elect by vacating their Seats.

The new Council proceeded to business by electing — to be President of the Council until the should be qualified— was re-elected Recorder of the — and the proceeded to appoint <​the​> standing Committees

The following officers were then elected by the City Council to the following offices—

<​8​> Section 1 Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of that there be three Assistant Supervisors appointed in the same manner as the Supervisor is now appointed to act in their respective Wards.

S[e]ction 2 It shall be the duty of the Assistant Supervisors to act under the direction of the Supervisor and qualify in the same manner as the Supervisors qualify
