Minutes of The of the of Illinois.
The High Council of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints of Illinois met in council at the house of s March 8th 1840
It was voted that the Council accept of the resignation of as Clerk of the said Council.
Voted that act as Clerk Pro. tem. A charge was prefered against , by Joseph Smith jr, for unchristianlike conduct and was refered to , and , who was to take up a labor with him.
A letter directed to , from , of Missouri, containing proposals cocerning a mortgague on certain lands held by , in Missouri, was pres[en]ted by Joseph Smith jr, for the advice of the Council, where upon it was voted that he () should not accept of said proposals.
Voted that be appointed to negotiate a loan of one thousand dollars, to be paid to , on certain lands [p. [1]]
