This Indenture, made and entered into this fourteenth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty four between , and his wife, of the County of and State of of the first part, and of the County of and State of of the second part— Witnesseth, that the said and his wife party of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of forty dollars, in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do hereby grant, bargain, sell, convey and confirm unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever, the following described real Estate situate, lying, and being in the County of , and State of , and designated as being the West half of the East half, of Lot No four, in Block No four in Addition to , containing one quarter of said Lot be the same more or less. Together with all and singular the hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging, or in anywise appertaining: To have and to hold the above described premises unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever. And the said and his wife the aforesaid premises unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns against the lawful claim or claims of all and every person whomsoever, do and will Warrant and forever defend by these presents. In testimony whereof, the said party of the first part hath hereunto set their hands, and affixed their seals the day and year first herein written

And, wife of the said having been by me made acquainted with the contents of said Deed, and being by me examined separate and apart from her said , acknowledged that she had executed the same, and relinquished her right of dower in and to the premises therein conveyed, voluntarily, freely, and without compulsion of her said .
