whose signatures appear to the foregoing deed, and who are personally known to me to be the persons described in, and who executed the same, did severally acknowledge that they had executed the said conveyance for the uses and purposes therein mentioned. And the said Sarah Powers having been by me made acquainted with the contents of the said Deed, and examined separate and apart from her said , acknowedged that she had executed the same, and relinquished her dower to the premises therein conveyed, voluntarily, freely, and without compulsion of her said . Given under my hand and seal, this Eighteenth day of September, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty three J. P. L. S.

This Indenture made and entered into, the twenty eighth day of August, in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and forty three, between and Fanny M. [Frances McAtherton Redfield] his wife, of the county of and State of of the one part, and Louisa Stout of the and aforesaid, of the other part Witnesseth, that the said and Fanny M. his wife, for and in consideration of the sum of twenty five dollars, to them in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged do hereby grant, bargain, sell, convey, and confirm unto the said Louisa Stout her heirs and assigns forever, all that tract or parcel of land, situate and being in the county of in the State of viz. commencing at the South West corner of Lot no forty-nine (49) in Block no four (4) in s addition to , and running East one hundred and thirty three & a half feet (133½) to the center of Green Street, thence North forty nine feet (49) to the center of Munson Street, thence West one hundred and thirty three & a half feet (133½) thence South forty nine feet (49) to the place of beginning, it being a part of Lot No forty nine (49) in Block No four (4) in s addition to , and lying in the South West corner of Green & Munson Streets. Together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging, or in any wise appertaining. To have and to hold the above des-cribed premises unto the said Louisa Stout her heirs and assigns forever. And the said and Fanny M. his wife, their heirs and assigns, the aforesaid premises, unto the said Louisa Stout her heirs and assigns, against the claim or claims of all and every person whomsoever, do and will warrant and forever by these presents defend. In testimony whereof, the said and Fanny M. his wife of the first part, have hereunto set their hands and seals, the day and year above written. L. S. F. M. Redfield. L. S.
