being South of Lumberd Street, it commencing Eleven rods south of Lumberd Street in aforesaid Block running South Eleven rods, thence East to the west line of Fullmer Street it being twelve rods and some nine or ten feet, then north Eleven rods, then west twelve rods and nine or ten feet, to the place of starting, be it the same more or less. Together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging, or in any wise appertaining. To have and to hold the above des-cribed premises unto the said his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Levi S. Nickerson, and Mary Ann his wife, their heirs and assigns, the aforesaid premises, unto the said , his heirs and assigns, against the claim or claims of all and every person whomsoever, do and will warrant and forever defend by these presents. In testimony whereof, the said Levi S. Nickerson, and Mary Ann his wife of the first part, have hereunto set their hands and seals, the day and year first above written.

State of Illinois, Hancock County, City of , scts I a Justice of the peace, in and for the, and aforesaid, do certify that Levy [Levi] S. Nickerson and Mary Ann his wife, whose signatures appear to the foregoing Deed, and who are personally known to me to be the persons des-cribed in, and who executed the same, did severally acknowledge that they had executed the said convey-ance, for the uses and purposes therein mentioned. And the said Mary ann Nickerson having been by me made acquainted with the contents of the said Deed, and examined separate and apart from her said husband, acknowledged that she had executed the same, and relinquished her dower to the premises therein conveyed, voluntarily, freely, and without compulsion of her said husband. In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand, and affixed my seal, at the City of , this Ninteenth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty-four. This Indenture made, and entered into, this thirtieth day of August in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred, and forty three, between and Artimesia [Beman Snow] his wife, of the county of Essex and State of , of the one part, and of the City of and aforesaid, of the other part, Witnesseth, that the said and Artimesia his wife, for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars, to them in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do hereby grant, bargain, sell, convey, and confirm unto the said , his heirs and assigns forever, all that tract or parcel of land, situate and being in the city of , county of and State of , viz; commencing sixty three feet East of the South West corner, of Lot No. four, of Block No 125 as described in the city plot of said city, thence runing North ninty feet, thence East thirty feet, thence South ninety feet, thence West thirty feet to the place of beginning.
