There are four extant $5.00 pay orders for Repsher dated 5 October 1844. Two of these orders could correspond to those two ledger entries. Repsher’s account in the ledger notes eleven orders on collector dated 5 October 1844 totaling $53.00. This and the four other extant pay orders for Repsher dated 5 October 1844 likely correspond to five of those eleven orders.
