The word perhaps you’ll get to understand
The word Ill here insert Dont talk to me
Ye knaves and tatlers vile this word may <see>
7 O knaves do you delight in tatling low
Or do you not that way your folly show
Me think if you are mean enought to steal
You’ll try and Thieveish act conceal
The prophets hands you will not help to <hold>
But still go on methink and still unfold
Your meanness vile to men upright and <just>
Who never would if known your fingers <trust>
8 My neighbours do of you O Thievs <complain>
Dont you O knaves steal from my friends <again>
The Lord sees all your little dirty tricks
And if your caught you may get heavy <kicks>
You are to mean to live in fair
O run away such rascals we can spare
You Genral bold O knaves has led the way
O leave the land where breeses soft do play
9 You captain has into the East retird
And his return by saints is not desird
O knaves is not the place for <you>
Unless you do a lawful course pursue
For prophets true will surely curse you all [p. [15]]
