Know all men by these Presents That I Joseph Smith of the County of and State of Do hereby constitute and appoint Franklin J Bartlett of the same place, my true and lawful attorney for me and in my name to make sign seal Execute and deliver unto the Coroner of and aforesaid a good and sufficient Bond, to save and keep harmless the said Coroner in Repleving a certain Toped Buggy Waggon and harness taken by the Sheriff of said County of , as the property of , and for me and in my name to make Execute sign seal and deliver all Bonds which are by law required of me for the purpose of instituting mainta[i]ning and prosecuting said Replevin suit in the Circuit Court of , as fully to all intents and purposes as I myself might or could do were I present hereby ratifying and Confirming all my said Attorneys acts for the uses and purposes herein mentioned. Witness my hand and seal this 25th day of March 1843
