The People of the State of to any sheriff coroner or constable of said county greeting:—
Whereas complaint has been made before me R[obert] F. Smith an acting Justice of the peace in and for said by one that the crime of false imprisonment has been committed in the and aforesaid in this[,] that on or about the 25th of April last in the City of county & State aforesaid. was illegally detained & Confind contrary to his will and without any sufficient legal authority and affiant verily believes that one . Late of the and aforesaid is guilty of the facts charged
These are therefore to command you to take the body of <the> said if he be found in your county and if he shall have fled that you pursue after him to any other County of this so that you have him forth with before me or some other justice of the peace to answer said charge and be further dealt with according to Law and on this writ make due return as the Law directs.
