11 July 1811–26 Dec. 1876. Born at Scarborough, Cumberland Co., Maine. Daughter of Joseph Coolbrith and Mary Hasty Foss. Moved to Boston, by 1832. Baptized into Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1832, at Boston. Moved to Kirtland, Geauga Co., Ohio, summer 1833. Married Don Carlos Smith, 30 July 1835, at Kirtland. Moved to Norton, Summit Co., Ohio, by 1838. Moved to Missouri, summer 1838. Soon afterward located at Millport, Daviess Co., Missouri, near Adam-ondi-Ahman. Moved to Commerce (later Nauvoo), Hancock Co., Illinois, late summer 1839. Husband died, 7 Aug. 1841. Identified in some sources as a plural wife of JS, sealed on 6 Jan. 1842. Moved to St. Louis and married William Pickett, 1846. Migrated to Weber Co., Utah Territory, by 1850. Moved to California, 1852. Lived at Marysville, Yuba Co.; San Francisco; San Bernardino, San Bernardino Co.; Los Angeles; and Oakland, Alameda Co., California. Died at Oakland.
