Biography
1826–after 1849. Born in New York. Daughter of Lucien Woodworth and Phebe Watrous. Family moved to Ellisburgh, Jefferson Co., New York, by 1830; to Conneaut, Erie Co., Pennsylvania, by Dec. 1832; and to Missouri, by 1839. Resided with her family in Fourth Ward in Nauvoo, Hancock Co., Illinois, ca. 1842. Identified in some sources as a plural wife of JS, sealed in spring 1843. Received land in Nauvoo from JS, 13 May 1843. Married Carlos Gove, 23 Aug. 1843, in Hancock Co. Moved to Winter Quarters, unorganized U.S. territory (later in Omaha, Douglas Co., Nebraska), by 1 Sept. 1846; to St. Joseph, Buchanan Co., Missouri, by ca. 1848; and to Pottawattamie Co., Iowa, by 1850. Died in Kanesville, Pottawattamie Co.
