Biography
Ca. 1796–1856. Born at Clifton Park, Saratoga Co., New York. Daughter of Samuel William Howe and Mabel Dudley. Sister of Eber D. Howe. Resided near Queenstown, Lincoln Co., Niagara District (later in Queenston, Regional Municipality of Niagara, Ontario), Upper Canada, 1811. Moved to Lewiston, Niagara Co., New York, 1812; to Batavia, Genesee Co., New York, Dec. 1813; and to Cleveland, 1817. Member of First Presbyterian Church of Cleveland at its organization, 19 Sept. 1820. Moved to Painesville, Geauga Co., Ohio, ca. 1820. Joined reformed Baptist (later Disciples of Christ or Campbellite) movement. Baptized into Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, ca. 1831. Stockholder in Kirtland Safety Society. Disaffected from church. Died at Akron, Summit Co., Ohio.
