Biography
1 Aug. 1801–11 June 1881. Farmer. Born in West Bethlehem, Washington Co., Pennsylvania. Son of John Braden and Martha Elizabeth Llewellyn. Married Rachel Totton, 1820. Baptized into Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Ordination as priest determined “illegal” by council of high priests, before 2 May 1833, in Norton, Medina Co., Ohio. Wife died, 1836. Ordained an elder, by 3 Mar. 1836. Moved to Quincy, Adams Co., Illinois, by 1840. Excommunicated, 19 Jan. 1845, in Adams Co. Moved to Rockford, Pottawattamie Co., Iowa, by 1856; to Harrison Co., Iowa, by 1857; to Boyer, Harrison Co., by 1860; to Cass, Harrison Co., by 1870; and to Magnolia, Harrison Co., by 1880. Died in Harrison Co.
