Ca. 1771–5 Apr. 1843. Farmer. Born at Stamford, Fairfield Co., Connecticut. Son of Amos Henry Stevens and Mercy Weed. Married Olive Hiett. Lived in Danby, Tioga Co., New York, 1812–1820. Baptized into Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 13 Mar. 1831. Ordained an elder, 24 Aug. 1835, in Kirtland, Geauga Co., Ohio. Possibly loaned six hundred dollars to Frederick G. Williams and his committee, 6 Oct. 1835, in Kirtland. Received elder’s certificate, 1 Apr. 1836. Died at Norwalk, Huron Co., Ohio.
