Worshipful Master of Friendship Masonic Lodge, 1827, at Williamsport. Moved to Springfield, Sangamon Co., Illinois, 1834. Grand Master of Grand Masonic Lodge of Illinois, 1842–1843, at Springfield. Member of Board of Health, 1843, at Springfield. Lifted brief suspension of dispensation for Nauvoo Masonic Lodge and allowed new lodges, Nov. 1842. Resigned from Masonry, July 1844. Died in Springfield.
