Arnhem, Netherlands

Summary

Located thirty miles east of Utrecht, Netherlands, on bank of Rhine River. Population between 1843 and 1856 about 15,000. Functioned as trade hub between Amsterdam and Germany. Orson Hyde arrived in Arnhem by coach from Amsterdam and departed by boat traveling to Mainz, Germany, 1841.
