An ordinance to regulate the rates of toll at the Ferry in the city of .
<Council> Sec. 1. Be it ordained by the city counsel council of the city of , That from and after the passage of this ordinance, the following shall be the rates of toll for crossing the at the city of , viz:—
| one horse wagon <& Horse>, and <with> contents, <& driver> | $[0].75 |
| Two horse wagon <& Horses> d[itt]o <do> | 1[.]00 |
| Four wheel carriage for 2 <or> 4 horses, <do do> | 1[.]25 1[.]50 |
| <Two Wheel Carriage—— for 1—— horse—— do do> | <[0.]50> |
| Cart. " <do do> | [0.]50 |
| <Ass> Horse <Ass> mule or Jenny—— | [0.]25 |
| Footman Passenger—— | [0.]12½ |
| <or> horse <or> and other animal with rider | [0.]37½ |
| Oxen per yoke | [0.]25 |
| Every head of stock one yr old | [0.]18¾ |
| Under one year, and sheep, Hogs, &c | [0.0]6¼ |
Whatever is not <herein> specified, <shall be> calculated by agreement.
Sec 2. Be it further ordained that there shall be a list of the above rates of toll posted up at a conspicuous place at the Ferry and boats, <of the Ferry,> for the benefit of passengers the public
Sec 3 Be it further ordained that the keeper of the Ferry shall at all times, <reasonable hours> when wind and weather will permit, keep his craft of conveyance, and skillful hands to manage the same, ready for the conveyance of passengers and effects, under a penalty of <fifteen> dollars, to be recovered before any competent authority<, for each offense.>
