I met there with — He told me that he had some groceries on board the boat & was going to have them shipped to , & that they were his groceries (The Consel for plaintiff objected to the last Clause of the above) I saw there some barrels marked “” & directed to him at He told me that The barrels contained Sugar & Molasses, & I think there were besides a Couple of sacks of Coffee— He said he was owing some debts about and intended to sell these goods & pay them off— is a Mormon, he holds some office among them.
