Before me Joseph Smith Mayor of the city of , in said personally came Wm Seely who being duly sworn according to law, and deposeth and saith that on the 21st of July, Edwin Little did commit an assault and Battery on his person by striking several blows with his fists and other wise maltreating the said deponent in divers ways and <further> the deponent saith not.
