The document was folded once horizontally. docketed the verso when the document was in an unfolded state: “G.R. Walbridge | Bill $36.28 | Due Oct. 18 1836”. A second docket in unidentified handwriting, likely inscribed when the document was folded, reads: “Sugar”. The bottom edge is folded forward and there is marked staining and coal dust on the document.
