This Indenture, made and entered into, this eighteenth day of April in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and forty four between and Sally [Randall] his wife, of the county of and State of , of the one part, and of the county of and aforesaid, of the other part, Witnesseth, that the said and Sally his wife, for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars, to them in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do hereby grant, bargain, sell, convey and confirm unto the said his heirs and assigns forever, all that tract or parcel of land, situate and being in the county of in the State of , viz; being a part of the North half of Lot No forty three (43) in Block No five (5) in s addition to . Beginning at the North West corner of said Lot running South thirty two rods, thence East twenty rods, thence North seventeen and a half rods, thence West to the centre of the Street, thence North fourteen and a half rods, thence West to the beginning. containing three acres of land be the same more or less. Together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging, or in any wise appertaining. To have and to hold the above described premises unto the said his heirs and assigns forever. And the said and Sally his wife, their heirs and assigns, the aforesaid premises, unto the said his heirs and assigns, against the claim or claims of all and every person whomsoever, do and will warrant and forever defend by these presents. In testimony whereof, the said and Sally his wife of the first part, have hereunto set their hands and seals, the day and year first above written.

I a Justice of the Peace, in and for the said , do certify that and Sally his wife, whose signatures appear to the foregoing Deed, and who are personally known to me to be the persons described in, and who executed the same, did severally acknowledge that they had executed the said conveyance for the uses and purposes therein mentioned. And the said Sally Randall having been by me made acquainted with the contents of the said Deed, and examined separate and apart from her said , acknowledged that she had executed the same, and relinquished her dower to the premises therein conveyed voluntarily, freely, and without compulsion of her said . In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal this eighteenth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty-four.
