This Indenture made, and entered into, this Eighth day of July in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and forty three, between and Melinda Stewart his wife, of the county of and State of of the one part, and Charles B. Swasey of the county of and Territory of , of the other part Witnesseth, that the said and Melinda his wife, for and in consideration of the sum of Thirty dollars, to them in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do hereby grant, bargain, sell, convey, and confirm unto the said Charles B. Swasey his heirs and assigns forever, all that tract or parcel of land, situate and being in the county of , in the State of , viz: a part of Lot Twenty-five in Block six of s addition to , commencing Two hundred links North from the South West corner of the North half of said Lot, thence North thirty three feet, thence East to the centre of Warsaw Street, thence South Thirty three feet, thence West one hundred seventy seven and one half links to the place of beginning, be the same more or less. Together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging, or in any wise appertaining. To have and to hold the above described premises unto the said Charles B. Swazey [Swasey] his heirs and assigns forever. And the said and Melinda his wife, their heirs and assigns, the aforesaid premises, unto the said Charles B Swazey his heirs and assigns, against the claim or claims of all and every person whomsoever, do and will warrant and forever by these presents defend, In testimony whereof, the said and Melinda his wife of the first part, have hereunto set their hands and seals, the day and year above written

I a Justice of the Peace of said , do certify, that and Melinda his wife, whose signatures appear to the foregoing deed and who are personally known to me to be the persons described in, and who executed the same, did severally acknowledge that they have executed the said conveyance, for the uses and purposes therein mentioned. And the said Melinda Stewart having been by me made acquainted with the contents of the said Deed, and examined separate and apart from her said , acknowledged that she had executed the same, and relinquished her dower to the premises therein conveyed, voluntarily, freely, and without compulsion of her . Given under my hand and seal, this Eighth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty three.
