administrators and assigns, that before the ensealing and delivery hereof she is the true and lawful owner of the premises hereby granted, and has good right, full power, and lawful authority to sell and convey the same in manner and form aforesaid: And further, that she the said Elisabeth Ann Hills and her heirs, executors and administrators will Warrant and forever defend, the aforesaid premises, with their appurtenances, and every part and parcel thereof unto the said Mary Pierce and her heirs and assigns forever, against all persons claiming or to claim, by, from or under her, them, or any of them, or by, from or under any other person or persons whomsoever. In witness whereof, the said Elisabeth Ann Hills has hereunto set her hand and seal on the day and year first above written.

This Indenture, made and entered into, this twenty seventh day of December in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and forty three, between , and Wealthy [Eddy Pratt] his wife, of the County of , and State of , of the one part, and Mary Pierce of the county of , and aforesaid, of the other part, Witnesseth, that the said , and Wealthy his wife, for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars, to them in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do hereby grant, bargain, sell, convey and confirm unto the said Mary Pierce her heirs and assigns forever, all that tract or parcel of land, situate and being in the county of , in the State of , viz: Part of Lot No Eight (8) in Block No Three (3) in s addition to and bounded as follows, to wit, beginning at the north east corner of said lot, thence West forty eight feet to a stake, thence South to Ripley Street, thence East along the north side of said street, forty eight feet to Thomas Spear[s]'s land, thence north to the place of beginning. Together will all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging, or in any wise appertaining. To have and to hold the above described premises unto the said Mary Pierce her heirs and assigns forever. And the said and Wealthy his wife, their heirs and assigns, the aforesaid premises, unto the said Mary Pierce her heirs and assigns, against the claim or claims of all and every person whomsoever, do and will warrant and forever defend by these presents.
