There is another entry recorded 20 February 1845 for $4.00 for three orders to Lee. This pay order likely corresponds to one of those ledger entries. Lee’s account in the ledger notes twenty-one orders on collector dated 5 October 1844 totaling $40.00. This and the seven other extant pay orders for Lee dated 5 October 1844 likely correspond to eight of those nine orders.
