wrote the word “Kolob” on one side. The opposite side is blank, except for some ink transferred from a different, unknown source. The scrap is folded in half vertically. The irregularity of the tear indicates that the scrap was torn from a larger sheet of paper.

While Oliver Cowdery’s Egyptian Alphabet–B has a fourth leaf with a rough bottom edge, the tear and paper type do not match this slip of paper.


This scrap is currently stored with Egyptian Alphabet–B and is presumed to have been in continuous institutional custody.
