Biography
14 Jan. 1820–25 Aug. 1870. Born in Penwortham, Lancashire, England. Daughter of Thomas Moon and Lydia Plumb. Baptized into Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4 Sept. 1837. Emigrated from England, Sept. 1840, and arrived in Nauvoo, Hancock Co., Illinois, Nov. 1840. Engaged to Aaron F. Farr, by Aug. 1842. Married William Clayton as a plural wife, 27 Apr. 1843, in Nauvoo. Moved to Winter Quarters, U.S. unorganized territory (later in Omaha, Douglas Co., Nebraska), winter of 1846–1847. Arrived in Salt Lake Valley, 24 Sept. 1848. Died in Salt Lake City.
