A Bill was presented for the altering the Names of Certain Streets, which recd the usual Readings, & passed, Entitled, An Ordinance Altering the Names of Certain Streets therein named.
A Bill was presented, upon which an Ordinance was passed after the usual Readings, to Wit
An Ordinance to amend an Ordinance entitled “An ordinance to regulate Taverns and Ordinaries, in the City of .”
City Surveyor presented a Claim for Surveying Harris Street, also one for Surveying or extending Young Street, which was referred to the Committee of Claims.—
The Petition of Aaron F. Farr & ors to have Wells Street opened, was referred to the Committee of Improvements, who reported, which was accepted, & the Petn. of said Aaron Fare & ors granted “that Wells Street be opened, running from the South to the ” at the expence of Petrs.
Upon Motion of Colr it was Resolved that the Act Ordering that part of Hibbard Street which runs through Kimballs addition 1½ block north of the Old La’ Harp Road, be annulled, unless the Damages be paid before the Street be opened.
Resolved, that this Council shall not have or make any Claim for pay, for their services, at this Meeting.
Adjourned until the next regular Meeting.— [p. 24]
