fourth principal meridian and being lot no. three as will be seen by reference to survey made by April 29th. and May 6th. 1843 and commencing thirteen chains and fifty links South of the N. E. corner of 2d qr. running thence West twenty chains thence South twenty three chains and sixty eight links, thence East nine chains and thirty five links, thence North sixteen chains and thirty two links, thence East ten chains and sixty five links, thence North seven chains and thirty eight links to place of beginning and containing thirty acres more or less together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining, to have and to hold the above described premises unto the said Robert Burton party to the second part his heirs and assigns forever and the said Joseph Smith party of the first part his assigns and successors in office the aforesaid premises unto the said Robert Burton party of the second part his heirs and assigns against the claim or claims of all and every whomsoever, do and will warrant and forever defend by these presents.
In Testimony whereof the said Joseph Smith party of the first part has hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year above written.

I, a Justice of the Peace in and for said do certify upon the oath of that Joseph Smith whose signature appears to the foregoing deed and who is personally known to me to be the person described in and who executed the same, did acknowledge that he had executed the said conveyance for the uses and purposes therein mentioned.
