<18> Friday 18. I attended an adjoured city council. (L.L. 61) in the City of
<19> Saturday 19. I was engaged in the Recrder office (in the fi[r]st sto[r]y of the brick ) on the tithings, and in council in my office with Elders , , & others,
<20> Sunday 20 I attended the meeting on the hill, about this time the Ship John Cummins Sailed from for . with Sai[n]ts,— The “Tremont” Sailed on the 12[th] of January with 143 passengers Mo[s]tly Saints: The expence of passages from to average abot 48, from £3.15s. to £4.— including provision.
<21> Monday 21. I was visiting in the A M. & Transcating a variety of business at the office in the P. M & Evening. To the brethren (T&S. 715.) Suit. “Recorders office file 21 1842 (T&S. 715[)] Twelve.”
<22. atteded to a varety of business, as usual.>
<22 23> Tuesday Wedneday 22 23. Settled with & paid Brother Chase’s, and (LL. 61) Seasons,— I All my leisure momets of late have been employed in translating the book
