Came back to the rail road, and met us there— did not hear the 20 men or any of them make any report— Some said they did not know what they went for— others Said they did no <​know​>— I had no discharge from the arrest— they had not permitted me to go out of town.— they kept a file of men walking backwards and forwards all the time— I was not released from arrest when I joined the company— Dont recollect seeing after we left the rail-road, until I Saw him afterwards at the Jail— did not hear any person making a speech there but — was on his horse when he made the speech—
