I Saw was on the South side of the Jail— Did not Say that I heard give the word of command for them to fire at the Jail— I have never said if they did not feed and clothe me better at that I would leave there— I did complain of their treating Daniels better than me— I was 18 years old the 27th. day of last April— I believe Wills walked when he got out of my waggon— he was shot in the arm— dont know whether it was his left or right arm or whether it was in a sling, or had a handkerchief tied around it— <I have been acting for myself mostly— I have no <had>— no money since last court— or then— except a little I have made by driving a hack—>
<(>re-examined by <)> are you not mistaken about its being the 27th. day of May— if I said May— I meant June I was never offered or paid any thing for Swearing here— I came and Stay at ’s and dont know who pays for his <my> board—
closed at 1/2 past 6 O’clock p. m. and adjourned until 7 O’clock Tuesday morning—
