& Gregg came in together came in to gether they came from the East— I did not see or hear of— the company came I should guess that there were from 40 to 60 men eat supper there that nite— I did not that nite— myself & Key wated on the table— I was in the kitcheon frequently during the nite but did not see a wounded man sitting by the stove with a quilt round him— I was not in the house all the time before supper was ready— I knew that the company had been to or I think I had got the impression they had been to — I have no recollection to have seen either of the G or that day I think that neither or G at breakfast I breakfasted— G sometimes lodged at the tavern his office I do not know that he ever lodged— there an allarm in that night— there was no allarm the next night that I know of [p.
